What is Tadaflo?

Tadaflo drug consists of Tadalafil, which belongs to the group of medicines called Phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) inhibitors. It is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

It helps relax the blood vessels, which increases blood flow to the penis area of the male. This is also used to manage urinary symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (prostate enlargement, causing painful or frequent urination or unintentional passing of urine).

Dose & Dosage

Tadaflo drug is available in the form of oral tablets. Its generic variant, Tadalafil, is available in various dosage strengths 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg. 

A doctor can recommend the various dosage strengths for different conditions for individual cases. Every patient should remember that their case is different, so the dosage can be different based on the disease, route of administration, patient’s age, and medical history.

• Adults can consume the dosage half an hour before sexual intercourse.
• Tadaflo drug may be taken with or without a meal.
• This drug may work up to 36 hours after consumption.
• People should not take it twice in a day.
• Patients who are recommended for a Tadaflo tablet can consume a single dose regularly. 

How it works

Tadaflo is a phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitor, it works by blocking the action of an enzyme called phosphodiesterase. This enzyme breaks down a molecule named cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which helps in the smoothing and relaxation of muscle. 

The actions of PDE are blocked by the PDE 5 inhibitor, and the Tadaflo tablet allows cGMP to build up and cause relaxation of muscles. This leads to increased blood flow and an erection of an adult.

For ED:- Tadaflo tablet works in countering erectile dysfunction by increasing the blood flow to the penis and helping in relaxing the muscles in penile blood vessels. This process of blood flow may cause an erection of the penis for a longer period.

For BPH:- It relaxes the smooth muscles in the prostate gland and bladder. This also helps to improve various symptoms in the patients, such as difficulty urinating, increased urinary frequency and slow urine stream.

Uses

• It is used for the treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH).
• Tadaflo is a recommended and prescription drug. This medicine is used for treating Erectile Dysfunction.
• A doctor can also advise Tadaflo tablets for the treatment of an enlarged prostate. This condition is also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Precautions

• Patients should inform the medical history of their healthcare professionals before starting the treatment. 
• Patients should never crush, chew, or break the medicines. They should swallow them completely. 
• Drugs should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.
• Avoid drinking alcohol and grapefruit juice while taking this medication. These can lead to serious side effects. 
• If patients find any signs of allergic reaction in their body, they should stop the use of this medication.
